Our Commitment:

The Local Development Bank – BDL, in its capacity as a public banking institution, attaches particular importance to the protection of personal data and is committed to ensuring the responsible, secure and transparent processing of information relating to its customers, employees, partners, shareholders and all of its stakeholders.

As part of its activities, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as the regulatory developments introduced by Law No. 25-11, BDL is committed to ensuring compliance with the fundamental principles governing the protection of personal data.

Data Collected:

As part of its missions and activities, BDL may collect and process various categories of personal data, including:

Identification and civil status data;

Personal and professional contact details;

Banking and financial information;

Data relating to transactions and subscribed services;

Professional and administrative data;

Connection and browsing data;

Audio and video recordings for the purpose of ensuring the security of persons and property.

Certain sensitive data may be processed where their collection is authorised by applicable regulations and is strictly necessary for the purposes pursued.

Purposes of Processing:

Personal data collected by BDL are processed exclusively for legitimate purposes, including:

Managing banking and contractual relationships;

Opening and managing bank accounts and banking products;

Complying with legal, regulatory and prudential obligations;

Data Retention:

Personal data are retained for the periods necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected, in accordance with the legal, regulatory and operational requirements applicable to banking activities.

Data Sharing:

Personal data may be disclosed, within a strictly regulated framework, to:

Authorised administrative, judicial and regulatory authorities;

Partners and service providers acting on behalf of the Bank;

Financial institutions and regulated professions;

Entities involved in the contractual or regulatory relationship.

BDL ensures that any transfer or sharing of personal data is carried out in compliance with the confidentiality and security obligations provided for under applicable regulations.

Appointment of the Data Protection Officer (DPO):

In accordance with the provisions introduced by Law No. 25-11, BDL has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

The DPO is responsible in particular for:

Supporting and raising awareness among the Bank’s various structures;

Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;

Managing requests relating to the exercise of the rights of data subjects.

Rights of Data Subjects:

In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 18-07, every data subject has, in particular:

The right to information;

The right of access to their personal data;

The right to rectification;

The right to object in the cases provided for by applicable regulations.

Cookies and Browsing Data:

The BDL website may use cookies and other tracking technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the services offered, improve the user experience and conduct audience measurement.

Any request relating to the exercise of these rights may be addressed to the authorised BDL structures in accordance with the procedures established by the Bank.
